The Edge of Europe

Cabo da Roca is located in the Sintra-Cascais National Park and is considered Europe's westernmost point. We went to the very edge of Europe! and it was beautiful...We indulged in the special pastry of Sintra called travesseiros in a cafe at Cabo da Roca. These puffy pillow pastries are filled with almond paste and are coated in sugar. I want to sleep on these pillows every night...

It is beautiful indeed! I was just there a few days ago but that day it was soooooo windy! I love the little plaque there that says "This is where the land ends and the sea beggins..."
No words on the travesseiros! I also like the queijadas.
I hope you go to Paque das Nações, it's nice there as well.

The ocean looks absolutely beautiful! Yes, those little almond paste stuffed pastries would make the perfect pillow to sleep on...except, they wouldn't be around for very long in my house :D.

Those puffy pillows look dee-lish! They remind me of something called "bunuelos" that we used to serve in Manila (but I don't live there anymore, I'm San Francisco-based for the last 20+ years) ...
