I woke up...in Egypt

This is not a painting! This is a shot from our airplane window!Hubby & I took an early morning flight to Egypt... I woke up and looked out the airplane window and was in complete awe. I can't believe that I was in Scotland just a few days ago. Now, I am in Cairo...
This place is different than any place I've been before. We can see the pyramids from our hotel room and people are on the freeways riding their camels... crazyness.
We had traditional Egyptian lamb kebabs with pita bread and tahini sauce for lunch. The side dishes were pickled tomatoes and spicy egg plant.
We also had a big bowl of hummus to eat with our bread while smoking hooka and watching the Euro 2008 match. A very interesting change from the scenery and food we've been eating for the past few weeks of our travels. Tomorrow we are off to explore the pyramids of Giza!
